
John Cleary is an attorney with more than a decade of experience representing clients in complex litigation, entertainment, and technology matters. Based in Atlanta, he counsels independent artists, songwriters, and digital creators in contract negotiations, rights management, and international monetization strategies. He also advises creative entrepreneurs and emerging companies on compliance, intellectual property, and regulatory issues within the digital economy.

Earlier in his career, John practiced with a nationwide trial advocacy firm, where he litigated high-stakes federal qui tam, antitrust, and consumer protection actions. His work included economic and data-expert depositions, management of e-discovery consistent with the Sedona Principles, and appellate advocacy that contributed to multiple confidential settlements. He also developed HIPAA-compliant automation tools for litigation support and collaborated with national MDL leadership on data-driven projects in public-nuisance, personal-injury, and healthcare-fraud matters.

John earned his Juris Doctor from the Benjamin L. Crump School of Law in Miami Gardens, Florida, where he served as Justice (President) of Phi Alpha Delta and participated on the Mock Trial Team. He also studied internationally in the Netherlands and Spain and completed a United Nations internship with the Pax Romana NGO in New York. He holds a B.A. from the University of Cincinnati, where he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega and treasurer of College Mentors for Kids.
